FATTY ACIDS | OMEGA-3
Inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
Omega-3 fatty acids can also contribute to reducing inflammation. The same fatty acids are also able to promote the functioning of the immune system. Therefore omega-3 fatty acids can be used to combat various diseases (including those of the autoimmune system) associated with inflammation.
Rheumatoid arthritis
Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatoryqualities, which led researchers to, among other things, extensively study rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and other auto-immune and inflammatory disorders. This research showed, among other things, that omega-3 fatty acids have a positive effect on rheumatoid arthritis (18)(19).
MINERALS | SULPHUR [MSM]
Benefical effect
Since time immemorial sulphur has been used for its beneficial effects. We all heard off the sulphur-rich springs we bathe in because of the beneficial effects it has on skin and joint disorders, gout and diabetes. Nowadays our body cannot function without sulphur because it is precisely sulphur that promotes the absorption of essential minerals such as phosphorus, calcium and magnesium. Sulphur is also involved in the transport of oxygen in the human cells.
In addition, it is partly responsible for the conversion of enzymes, amino acids and, not unimportantly, hormonal balance. The mineral sulphur is also of great importance in the formation of collagen, a component of protein. This protein also contributes to the firmness of the skin. Sulphur also supports the liver in secreting bile, effectively combating inflammation, it is a powerful painkiller and so much more (35).
