We produce the Worlds best quality - suitable for human consumption - certified microalgae.

Compared to other microalgae, our algae contains a high level of the essential fatty acid EPA. This Omega-3 phospholipid isn’t found in any other organic source. The bioavailability and the biological effectivity of this EPA-oil is extraordinary.

No, because aromatic substances, artificial colorings or auxiliary substances are unwanted and unnecessary for the algae. The cells of the algae are intact (no broken cell walls as in Chlorella). This is why there is no need to add preservatives. The green colour (Chlorophyll) stays intact.

No, that is not necessary for our algae. The cell walls of our algae are easily digestible for human beings. A cell wall that has been cracked enables exposure of the nutrients in the cell. This results in the loss of important nutrients (due to oxidation).

No, only the production of the microalgae takes place at this location.

The microalgae are thermally dried for a very short time (seconds) to maintain the maximum value of nutrients.

The algae needs to be preserved in a closed packing without exposure to light. Prolonged exposure to the air increases the risk of contamination with harmful bacteria of fungi. Prolonged exposure to light, discolours our algae.

The Chlorofyl in our algae is still active. Prolonged light-exposure burns the Chlorofyl.

It’s recommended to preserve the algae in the original package and close it properly after opening. It’s advised to take hygienic measures while using the algae.

The algae has a so called Umami taste, also referred to as the fifth taste, besides salty, sweet, bitter and sour.

Because of the high oil content of the algae, it has a slight marine fragrance. In its isolated form the algae powder has a prominent taste. That’s because with consumption of half a gram four algae you eat more than 1 billion separate algae plants.

The best way to use the algae powder is in combination with other products. You can add it to a smoothie or other drink. In case you don’t want to use the powder in a mix, we advise you to use the Plant Power capsules.
